Nickelodeon Case Study

We were approached by Nickelodeon Junior to manufacture two 8m x 4m marquees to do a promotion of their channel, especially for Dora The Explorer and Sponge Bob Squarepants.

They wanted something that would have a strong visual impact and draw both children and adults to their stand. They were using the marquees were to not only help promote their channel, but were also running a competition to win a Vauxhall Zafira Club 1.6 16v car as part of the Jump Up Festival 2008. They wanted to fit a car plus other promotional material into the marquee and the 8m x 4m was the perfect size.  The manufacture of the marquees was quite a challenge as it was not only fully digitally printed canopies, the sides were doubled and printed both sides, with designs that had to flow from one side to the next with as little noticeable joining as possible.  We also had only a short lead-time to be able to turn around this big job, but we were really excited about the challenge of the job and how the finished marquees would look, as it was such a strongly branded and bold design.  It made it a very busy time for us, but we made sure that our client had their marquees in time for the launch!  Nickelodeon said that they were ‘Extremely pleased with them, they look really good when set up together at the festival’. 

Now Nickelodeon has a unique stand that is colourful, fun and promotes their channel and two very popular special characters.
